Here's mine for Freedomian History:
Freedomia was established on April 10th, 2009. Mark Williams, the soon-to-be founder of the nation, assembled some friends and they began constructing a small civilization by a lake, which is present-day Lakewood, Freedomia. Later that day, Freedomia was unofficially established. In Summer of that year, a Government was created, with Williams as President. Government officials were appointed, and a second settlement was constructed near the present-day Ministorial.
When fall of 2009 came around, the settlement at Lakewood had to be abandoned, as the cold weather made conditions unfavorable. In any case, Freedomia continued, facing several obstacles. The first was Basment, an underground settlement constructed in a fairly empty basement. Infrastructure was poor, but a currency and a few small buildings were created. When a friend of Annabel Williams, Mark's sister, came along and visited Basment, the People's Republic of Cheyenne was created, which quickly annexed half of Basment. No war or conflict emerged, thankfully, and by the end of the day, it had been incorporated into Freedomia's new United Kingdoms and Republics of Freedomia.
The year continued, and at the end of October, Williams decided to create a Freedomian-affiliated organization. It's goals were to develop new technologies and other sorts, and it took place at Mark's school, with the help of close friends. However, the school principal interpreted it as a terrorist organization, and it was disestablished the following day.
The rest of the year had little development for Freedomia, and when inactivity struck, the ill-fated First Republic was dissolved. Williams resigned from his post as President, and the nation collapsed.
Months passed, with the fragmented nation weaving in and out of activity. For one day, the Capitalist Republic of Freedomia existed. Other numerous Freedomian spinoffs occurred, all resulting in dissolution. Finally, the Freedomian project was incorporated into the newly-established A.I.D, or Association for International Dedication. This organization was created by Williams in the first week of January 2010. It lasted until the end of March, when it was disestablished for inactivity and for personal reasons of Williams.
April 2010 came along, which marked the 1st Anniversary establishment of Freedomia, which was still frail from failed spinoff attempts. The Freedomian Military slowly began to reform, under the supervision of Mark Williams and a schoolfriend, Garrett Piofcyk. Williams and Piofcyk both worked on daily watches as well as improving their sword skills.
The Summer was mostly uneventful, however, in June a Freedomian Magazine was created, but never published. Finally, in August, 2010, Freedomia became the Empire of Freedomia, with Williams as Emperor. Under his newly established laws, rules, and government, the settlement at Lakewood was reestablished as well as a new settlement close to the Ministorial. His reign as Emperor lasted for a short period of time, unfortunately, as, on American Labor Day, 2010, many workers went on strike on an event otherwise known as the Skirmish at Lakewood. They refused to work on Emperor Mark's projects, and marched on the Ministorial, threatening to take over the government. Noting the severity, Williams personally defended the seat of government, but luckily was not injured or harmed in any way. The rebels quickly defected back to the Freedomian side, and Williams prepared plans for the future of Freedomia.
Nevertheless, the ire circumstances of the rebellion left a gashing wound on Freedomia. The settlements fell into disarray, and the Empire was dissolved. The Greater Empire of Freedomia was created approximately one week later, with Williams as Prime Minister. This was a provisional government, which lasted for about one month. The dissolution of the Greater Empire was necessary to facilitate the establishment of the second Empire of Freedomia. The position of Emperor, however, was not used.
Williams, as Prime Minister, held undefined powers until a complicated and hard-to-understand Constitution was written by him. He did not have previous experience with writing Constitutions, or legislation, for that matter, so the Constitution did not allow the Empire to function correctly.
In February, Freedomia received a new citizen who would leave a lasting mark on the Freedomians forever. Dakoda George, who lived near the Prime Minister in terms of geography, applied for membership in the Freedomian Parliament, Senate, and other government agencies, as well as numerous other posts. He became a citizen and soon after became the assistant of Williams.
In March, a cold war between Freedomia and a nearby country, the Republic of Legendstries, headed by Garrett Piofcyk, who had, not a year earlier, been a friend of the Freedomians. No military developments occurred, however, propaganda from both parties was released. This conflict lasted for less than a month, and ended when Piofcyk became temporarily ill. After inactivity of Legendstries, Williams declared victory for Freedomia on the 21st of March. Other belligerents included the also nearby Kingdom of Kirkland, headed by Brayden I.
Later, Dakoda George's Principality of Georgeton was incorporated into Freedomia as a monarchic government.
Unfortunately, another war began in April. the Principality of Jerrington invaded the newly-established Georgeton Province, and Dakoda George himself led a defense. The first Jerrington attack was driven back, as was the second. By the order of the Prime Minister, Jerrington was to be assaulted, and after 15 minutes of fighting, Jerrington was conquered, and Jarred the First surrendered. A development plan was created for the captured Jerrington territories, however, it never went underway, and the provisional government of Jerrington, it's little infrastructure, and other state organs quickly capitulated.
The Empire was making no progress whatsoever, and in June, reform talks began in the Senate. Williams proposed the creation of the Empire-Republic of Freedomia, with a completely new Constitution. As he had gained experience in writing legislation and constitutions, the new one was adopted unanimously, and the Empire dissolved.
But the new Empire-Republic could not at first stop the burden of dwindling activity it had acquired from the previous Freedomia. In July, after a very uneventful last few months, Dakooda George resigned from his several posts of government. Williams struggled to keep the nation afloat, by upholding the new Constitution and taking up the heavy burden of the positions Dakoda had left behind. In any case, the next month passed, and August came around.
In early August, the first successful Freedomian currency was created. Over the next couple of months, more would be printed off. This currency, the Burgin, did very well and many people liked it. On the 16th of August, Williams returned to school for 8th grade in his American Education. On that very day, he had a conflict with another student, Sean Rackley. Rackley established Demonz, which motives were unclear. However, after Demonz declared war, Williams announced it to the micronational community, sparking an encounter with cordial ally Uberstadt, located several hundred miles away.
The Uberstadti Government was strongly opposed to conflict, and mistakenly thought that Freedomia and Demonz were at "war". Although Rackley did declare war, such conflict was not recognized by Freedomia, so a Police Action was instead used. Freedomia took control of several key territories before a surrender/peace treaty was signed on September 7th. Williams was forced to appear before the Intermicronational Criminal Court under the grounds that he was a so-called "outlaw" who flagrantly disregarded the Uberstadti-Freedomian Treaty of Alliance, however, Adam Oberstadt realized it was a misunderstanding and later that month declared Williams innocent.
November was a relatively low progress month for Freedomia, as was October, however, December proved fruitful, such as launching government reforms, creating more national symbols, and expanding the growing nation.
January 2012 began with Freedomia continuing the reforms which began the previous month. Mark Williams proposed Act 113, which would authorize Freedomian Independence from the United States. In mid-January, Dakoda George proposed to reorganize the nation into a more monarchy-styled nation, and although the act failed in the Senate, it was not overlooked, and Williams created Act 125, which would soon pass. Williams became Emperor, new Senators were appointed, and what began as a mere whim soon became a dangerous event in Freedomian History.
Joshua Cooper, Governor of the Territory of Concordia, announced his intentions to declare independence from Freedomia. Dakoda George, the Chancellor-Judge at the time, objected, and ordered Cooper to appear before the Freedomian Empiral Court for treason. Emperor Williams concurred, a jury was appointed, and the trial began.
The Chancellor-Judge and the Emperor both found Cooper guilty of treason against Freedomia, and sentenced him to a fine of 5 Million Burgins as well as two years of probation.
Work in progress.
